The question we always ask is "what can I do?" to arrest climate change. Well, as simple as it may sound, using less electricity is an important way to slow down climate change.
Climate change is caused by burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas. Power plants are among the biggest consumers of fossil fuels, and thus if we use less electricity... well, you get the picture.
So on Saturday, March 28th 2009, at 8:30pm, we will join residents of more than 1,000 cities the world over in Earth Hour. All you have to do is turn off electricity in your homes for one hour. 50 million people participated last year, and the target this year is 1 billion.
